In a jelly roll pan, bake at 425° for 25 minutes: 2 cups cornmeal, 2 cups flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, salt, 2 heaping teaspoons soda, 2 heaping teaspoons baking powder, 3 cups water, and 4 tablespoons to 1 cup melted fat. Makes a great treat for the birds in the winter months. 1/2 cup corn meal 6 tablespoons oil 2/3 cup water or meat broth 2 cups whole wheat flour
Combine all of the ingredients and mix well. Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into shapes with your favorite cookie cutters. Baste with meat drippings. Bake at 350-degrees for 35-40 min.
5 cups Whole Wheat flour 1 cup milk 2 eggs 10 tablespoons vegetable oil or bacon fat 1 teaspoon onion or garlic powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup cold water
Preheat oven to 350-degrees F. Mix all ingredients well. Pinch off pieces of the dough and roll them into two-inch balls. Put them on a greased cookie sheet. Bake them at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Let them cool, and then store in an airtight container. Makes 40 biscuits.
1 cup whole wheat flour 2 tablespoons wheat germ 1/4 cup soy flour 1/3 cup dry milk 1 teaspoons catnip 1/3 cup milk 2 tablespoon Butter 1 Egg 1 tablespoon un-sulfured molasses
Preheat oven to 350-degrees F. Mix dry ingredients, then add the rest. Roll onto a greased cookie sheet, and cut into bite sized pieces. Bake at 350-degrees for 20 minutes. Store in an airtight container.
2-1/2 cups whole-wheat flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 6 tablespoons butter, shortening, or meat drippings 1 teaspoon brown sugar or molasses 1 egg 1 cup milk
Combine flour, salt and garlic powder. Cut in butter and sugar until the mixture resembles cornmeal. Mix in the egg. Add enough milk so that the mixture forms a ball. Roll out dough 1/2-inch thick and cut into your dog's favorite shapes. Place on greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle more garlic powder on top. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes at 300-degrees or until thoroughly dry. Cool on wire rack.
